Senior Product Owner - Marketing Platform

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Product Owner who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment to lead the development of our Marketing Products, collectively called our Marketing Platform. The role would suit an experience product leader with a breadth of product & marketing experience to

Support the delivery of our strategy in our established channels

Drive innovation in our emerging channels

 

We want to be where our customers are, and support them with the right message, for the right product, at the right time. To do so requires us to innovate at a faster pace than our competitors, both in established & emerging channels. The role our product teams is to drive that innovation & your role is to -

Set the overall guiding direction for the product teams

Lead communications with the business & handle multiple requirements

Advocate the purpose & the work of the teams in the business

Lead, coach & develop our product owners

We’re looking for someone who can inspire others to follow their vision, and who can roll up their sleeves & take ownership of the problem solving & delivery where required.

Key responsibilities

Management & direction setting for 4 marketing product teams

Paid Search Tooling

Direct Marketing Platform

SEO

Marketing NPD

Line management, leadership & mentorship of 4 product owners

Setting overall scope & responsibilities of the Marketing Platform product teams

Defining the product team vision, linking it into the top-level Marketing Objectives & inspiring the teams to deliver

Work with senior architects, heads of development, delivery and operations to design and deliver products and services to delight our customers

Build up a deep understanding of our product offering & customer needs & an understanding of how the Marketing Platform product teams can help to match them

Proactively handle a broad set of senior stakeholders to manage multiple priorities & keep the wider team bought into the overall product direction

 

About the successful candidate

Required

You have 5+ years’ experience in a high exposure product or marketing role

You have experience working on transactional & successful, user-focused products in B2C space

You have a broad understanding of online marketing & key performance dynamics, particularly w.r.t Direct Marketing & SEO

You are commercially aware and have a strategic mind, able to identify business opportunities and deliver against them

You are able to define and communicate product vision & strategy to others

You have excellent communication skills and are able to communicate with the business at all levels

You are a highly motivated self-starter with a flexible, can-do attitude

 

Desirable

Experience in product development for Marketing teams

Experience in developing back-end Marketing tooling

Domain experience in travel and/or online retail

Educated to degree level or higher
