Internal Communication Manager, BookingGo
BookingGo was formed when Rentalcars.com merged with Booking.com in January 2018. BookingGo has never had a standalone comms role and so we are looking for somebody who can work closely with the Booking.com comms team in Amsterdam whilst providing some much needed support on internal communications in our Manchester Head office.
As an Internal Communication Manager at BookingGo, you are responsible for providing strategic communication leadership, guidance and execution to BookingGo employees. This is a great role for somebody whoâ€™s excited to test the limits of â€œtraditionalâ€ Internal Communication and drive business success through employee engagement.
Sitting within the wider Booking.com Global Internal Communication Team, you will report to the BookingGo People Director. You bring proven communication experience from an in-house comms team, building internal campaigns and supporting internal stakeholders to deliver on communication initiatives across a global multi-office environment. The integration between the two companies is an ongoing large scale programme of change so ideally you should have experience of business change projects.
This role is based in our BookingGo HQ in Manchester but there may be a requirement to travel to other locations on occasion.
Your key responsibilities will include developing and executing a creative and impactful communication strategy that drives awareness of business strategy and supports a workplace experience where employees can thrive.
â— Work closely with the Leadership Team and individual departments to build impactful communication plans tied to business priorities.
â— Design and implement campaigns to increase awareness of key programs and initiatives that shape the employee experience and impact engagement.
â— Collaborate with Internal Communication colleagues and communicators across Booking.com to promote global communications and cascade any central messaging
â— Coach and guide teams on communications best practices, strategies and processes.
â— Quickly evaluate and capitalize on timely communication opportunities.
â— Continually incorporate the latest technologies and best practices to amplify communication (our main communication platform is workplace by facebook)
â— Support the production of communication collateral, including newsletters, fact sheets, FAQs, Web and social media sites, and events for employees and stakeholders.
â— Actively source, measure and present employee feedback to Leadership Team in order to adjust their communication for impact and employee engagement
8+ yearsâ€™ experience in internal or external communications, developing and executing strategic communication plans
Working in a high/hyper growth technical company, helping to focus communication initiatives
â— Excellent verbal and written communication and editing skills in English
â— Strong organizational and project management skills
â— Ability to translate business strategies into practical solutions that optimize communication channels
â— Ability to influence and align stakeholders and define clear goals and progress
â— Ability to work independently to plan and prioritize workload in line with business needs
â— Strong employee experience focus and proactive attitude
â— Knowledge of community management practices on collaborative platforms
