In 2015, Rentalcars.com relaunched Rentalcars Connect, the first ever global, fully serviced B2B end-to-end car rental solution. Rentalcars Connect now partners with over 3,000 travel brands including airlines, online travel agencies and travel websites worldwide and provides them access to the entire Rentalcars.com inventory and product offering through a multitude of customizable, technology solutions. Our experienced teams offer packages that combine the most effective and results-driven technology, placements, products and pricing, whilst maintaining a customer-centric approach. Our proposition connects these travel brands (for example: eDreams Odigeo, Lastminute Group, Wizz Air, Singapore Airlines) to market leading revenue earnings, conversion and customer satisfaction.

Job Overview:

To develop and win new business within our UK, Ireland and Scandinavian and Nordic markets by quality researching, sourcing new business opportunities and managing key existing partnerships in one of our largest core markets.

Key Responsibilities:

To ensure company and regional booking sales and conversion targets are met and exceeded predominantly through the development of new business, and by increasing the sales from key existing partnerships.

  • Persistent daily outbound calling and email contact to chase researched opportunities
  • Regular travel to client sites, conferences, and trade shows across the globe in order to maximise market presence, sales opportunities, and build necessary relationships
  • Account management and development of existing key partner relationships to deliver/exceed sales targets set
  • Negotiation of new contracts and development of existing campaigns to ensure optimal ROI
  • Ongoing analysis of results and continuous optimisation and improvement of campaigns to achieve and exceed volume and CPA targets.
  • Ongoing reporting of these results to senior management
  • Support across the different markets as required by your line manager

Key Skills/Attributes Required:

  • Proven sales and business development record, ideally in an online environment
  • Significant travel sector or similar experience, and established contact base
  • Target driven and self-motivated
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to create deep and lasting commercial relationships
  • High level of IT literacy
  • Educated to Degree Level orRelevant alternative experience (i.e. proven sales acumen)
  • Organisational and planning skills
  • Knowledge and/or experience of various online advertising metrics, including CPA, CPC & CPM advertising. (Desirable)
  • Experience/knowledge of the Scandinavian tourist industry (Desirable)
  • Fluent in English and any other modern European language such as Swedish/Norwegian/Danish/Finnish is a pre.
