The role:

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven analyst / accountant to join our Commercial Finance Team in Marketing on a permanent basis. In this role you will support key revenue departments, making full use of your commercial acumen, adopting a data-led approach to recognise trends and undertake relevant analysis.  You will provide actionable insight to support business decision making and planning, acting as a business partner to the marketing team. Utilising this understanding of trading patterns you will also be responsible for contributing towards the preparation of budgets and forecasts re sales and marketing costs.

Experience:

We are looking for a confident individual who is a strong communicator.  You will have relevant experience, preferably within an e-commerce environment in travel or retail.

You will enjoy the challenge of commanding large and complex datasets to produce analysis and insight, supporting non finance staff in identifying trading opportunities and in understanding current and planning future trade.  You will have a proven capability of extracting relevant and accurate data from various sources, being able to model and present this in easy to follow and maintain formats.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience of Business Partnering
  • Relevant experience of analysing trends and preparing forecasts
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong presentational skills, communicating clear and concise findings, recommendations and conclusions.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • High level of self-motivation and determination.
  • Understanding of SQL queries

 Desirable Qualifications and Skills

  • CCAB qualification/part qualified or equivalent
