About the role

The Rentalcars.com marketing team is lean, efficient and high achieving and we take pride in being in control of our own marketing destiny.  Wherever possible we directly manage key channels in-house, allowing us to maximise their performance potential at Rentalcars.com.  To achieve this requires a world-class team.  To help us move towards this vision we are looking for a Senior Media Trader to help us to build our internal programmatic campaign management expertise.

This is a performance marketing role, which requires you to be highly numerate, have a strong attention to detail & be comfortable setting up, trading, analysing & reporting on successful programmatic campaigns.  You should be motivated by impact and be ambitious about the potential of your channel at Rentalcars.com.  You will be data-driven in your decision making and will help to shape our measurement & attribution strategy.

You will take immediate responsibility for managing upper funnel programmatic campaigns and will work closely with our partners to quickly improve our performance over time.  You will also manage the migration and testing of mid & lower funnel display campaigns into a programmatic environment.  The role is well suited for a trader with 3-5 years’ experience at an agency / trading desk and who is looking for a first in-house role running campaigns end-to-end.  There is also ample scope for the role to offer opportunity to begin to lead campaign strategy.

The core responsibilities of the role are –

  • Setting up campaigns
  • Regular monitoring of each campaigns performance
  • General Campaign analysis and optimisation
  • Trading (Bidding and buying of online media)
  • Regular Reporting and feedback
  • Custom campaign planning, management and reporting
  • Proposing, setting up & analysing advertising A/B tests
  • Helping to shape campaign strategy

About the person

Required

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a trading desk role
  • Performance focused and data-driven
  • Strategic mindset & ability to see the bigger picture
  • Creative & innovative, quick to learn about new technologies & media
  • Demonstrable understanding of performance marketing and robust marketing testing methodologies
  • Natural curiosity and strong attention to detail, great organizational and people skills and effective team-player.
  • Experience working with Doubleclick stack
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong analytical toolkit & comfortable with quantitative analysis
  • Ambitious and Fun.

Desirable

  • Able to build and maintain strong and effective relationships with media owners and agencies, as well as with internal team
  • Experience working across multiple media markets and/or experience in ecommerce, travel
  • Strong, relevant experience working with DMPs
  • Experience with both performance driven and awareness driven campaigns
  • Experience working with AppNexus
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage campaign delivery from high level briefs right through to campaign completion
