Rentalcars.com is a large-scale email marketer.  We deliver millions of transactional and marketing emails to our customers every week with a lean and high performing design, development and marketing team.  However, without dedicated analytical support we know we’re missing out on highly impactful insights & trends that could improve our performance further.

The Email Marketing Analyst role is a highly impactful role at the centre of our acquisition & retention efforts.  As such you will be comfortable working independently with large-scale datasets and taking unstructured data & vague hypotheses and turning them into actionable insights and recommendations.  You will work closely with a broad range of stakeholders, including email marketing executives, product owners & the senior marketing team as well as with our Business Planning team, feeding into our budgeting & guidance processes.

This is a role where great communication, proactivity & stakeholder management are just as important as granular, detailed & complex analysis.  You will be as much responsible for seeing your recommendations through to action as you are for developing the insights that feed them. 

You will be motivated by business impact and comfortable working proactively with little oversight or supervision and be ambitious to step up and broaden your responsibility through proving your effectiveness and impact on marketing decision making.

Required

  • At least 2 years’ experience in an analytical role
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Performance focused and data-driven
  • Strategic mindset & ability to see the bigger picture
  • Creative & innovative, quick to learn about new technologies & analytical techniques
  • Natural curiosity and strong attention to detail, great organizational and people skills and effective team-player.
  • Able to build and maintain strong and effective internal relationships and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ambitious and Fun.
  • Degree educated in a quantitative subject

Desirable

  • Experience in a marketing or ecommerce analytical role
  • Experience with, understanding of direct marketing
