In 2015, relaunched Rentalcars Connect, the first ever global, fully serviced B2B end-to-end car rental solution. Rentalcars Connect now partners with over 3,000 travel brands including airlines, online travel agencies and travel websites worldwide and provides them access to the entire inventory and product offering through a multitude of customizable, technology solutions. Our experienced teams offer packages that combine the most effective and results-driven technology, placements, products and pricing, whilst maintaining a customer-centric approach. Our proposition connects these travel brands (for example: eDreams Odigeo, Lastminute Group, Wizz Air, Singapore Airlines) to market leading revenue earnings, conversion and customer satisfaction.

The Business Development Executive, Iberia & Latin America – Strategic Partnerships, is responsible for the Rentalcars Connect third-party distribution, business development and account management for the Spanish and Portuguese speaking markets.

To ensure success, this role requires an individual with a strong background in ecommerce, travel industry knowledge is an advantage, business development skills and demonstrated success closing large scale distribution partnerships are essential. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, a great verbal communicator, enjoy variation and a fast pace.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to deliver the Rentalcars Connect targets/KPIs in the Iberia & Latin American markets
  • Persistent daily outbound calling to chase these researched opportunities
  • Proactively support the business and all internal priorities for the region, reporting to the Area Manager
  • Assist in closing key partner negotiations, providing commercial, product, and legal/contract information across the department
  • Monitor, research and report findings on market developments in the travel industry
  • Create and deliver polished and compelling presentations to partners
  • Report all activity on our CRM tool (currently Salesforce)
  • To ensure all reporting and day to day account management requirements for key accounts are met as well as increasing the sales from these existing partnerships through continual optimisation of their solutions and agreeing set actions to maximise product exposure.
  • Ongoing analysis of results and continuous optimisation and improvement of campaigns to achieve and exceed volume and CPA targets. Ongoing reporting of these results to senior management

Key skills/experience:

  • Proven track record of working in a fast-paced business development team, either in the travel or ecommerce industry is essential
  • Sales and target orientated
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese, written and spoken although being proficient in Spanish is also very desirable
  • Ability to create deep and lasting commercial relationships
  • Ability to prioritise and organise a range of competing projects and tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Strong customer service ethos
  • Well practiced presentation skills and excellent communication skills
  • Good analytical skills and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge and/or experience of various online advertising metrics, including CPA, CPC & CPM advertising. (Desirable)
  • Enjoys getting things done
